Trying to Organize Life UPDATE

Well, I’ve been weighing the options on whether or not I should get an organizer.  A major reason I was picky was because I did not wish to go over my $100 budget that I set myself for the month.  Silly me, because with the bridesmaid dress that I ordered, that was way gone before I could even blink.  Be that as it may, I’ve tried to keep within that budget. Sadly, my need to be a more organized person was causing me more distress than going over the budget.

So I continued to research, and I ended up finding sites about hacking Moleskines.  The planner that I wished to buy was the awesome Star Wars Daily planner, but alas, we are about to be in April and I would just fret over the empty pages.  Perhaps I’ll get one next year?  Though depending on the hack that I am planning for the book I bought, I highly doubt it.

I figured I need to come clean, as my silly budget was blown this month.  Obviously my book was not only thing that caused it to happen, but the expenses that I ran into was beyond control.  It was still cheaper than a Moleskine after all.  To be honest, I did expect one of my months of being under the $100 budget would break.  That does not mean that I will not continue, in fact, I will continue to be under the $100 budget for each month.  I just need to anticipate that there will be a couple months in the year where this may not be as likely due to unseen or even anticipated needs.

If you’re wondering what I’m going to be doing with my daily planner, I will most certainly be posting a picture as I begin the hacking process.  So far, these are things that I plan on doing to it:

  • Tabs for months
  • A ribbon marker
  • A monthly catch all calendar that is easy with which to refer
  • Division of days for notice for notes and appointments/birthdays etc..
  • To do List section so that things can be categorized swiftly and efficiently

Think I can do it?
