November 2013 Bill Breakdown

Uhh.. why was this still stuck in draft mode???  OOPS!

We’ve had a few things change the numbers this past month, and I apologize for not keeping you up to date on that as it occurred!  Lots of overtime was offered this past month so I’ve been away from the blog sphere! We’ll change that this month, as I’m determined to get a post out everyday if possible!  As you all know, I paid my rent up to December 2014! Of course, I’ve paid $1100 of that bill so far, but the rest is still on my Chase card.  So that will be a big expense again this month.  But that’s okay!  I’m still doing well, and by paying chunks at a time, it will be gone in no time!

Car loan: $742.70 Now that I’m working at Chrysler, I am eliminating this loan quickly.  So this month is going to be a little different with the amount of $501.00.

Credit Cards: Look who’s left!

  • Solidarity Visa: $2280.00  Minimum payment: $30.00. This month’s payment will be $30.00.
  • Chase: $2317.96  Minimum payment: $44.00.  This month’s payment will be $544.96.
  • Pay Pal Bill Me Later: $2,051.02  Minimum payment: $56.00. This month’s payment will be $66.02.
  • Amazon Store Card: $608.71  Minimum payment: $35.00. This is the card I’m currently eliminating. This month’s payment will be $88.71.

Total Credit Debt: $7,257.69   Total Payments: $729.69. This is compared to last month’s credit debt of $6,463.28 and total payments of: $281.28, which means my debt went down $220.96.  Mer.. this isn’t a huge dent, but I will admit that I am targeting a couple of other things first (namely the student loans).

Student Loans:

Direct Loan Great Lakes:  $19,036.86  Currently deferred until January. However, I am making a payment this month. 236.86.

Even though this loan is deferred, I am still gaining interest on the loans.  This payment this month is basically all of the interest that has been gained since I first deferred this student loan when I was unemployed.  As I was still unemployed when I deferred last July, I have a little time to hit the ground running on this debt.

Other anticipated bills this month:

Cellphone service: $50.

Complete Total Debt: $27,037.25.  Total Payments: $1467.55. This is compared to last month’s $26,750.78. debt total and $1056.51 in payments.  That unfortunately means that I increased my debt by $284.47.  Crap!  Do remember that I paid 14 months rent in one payment with the purchase of an island.

Please let it rain!

September 2013 Bill Breakdown

We are one month away from a year of Bill Breakdowns.  That will be a big celebration as I compare where I was then, to where I am now.  I can’t wait to see the difference in debt!

Car loan: $1,734.21 Now that I’m working at Chrysler, I am eliminating this loan quickly.  So this month is going to be a little different with the amount of $501.00.

Credit Cards: Time to eliminate these babies quickly!

  • Solidarity Visa: $2340.00  Minimum payment: $30.00. This month’s payment will be $30.00.
  • Chase: $1278.55  Minimum payment: $27.00.  This month’s payment will be $27.55.
  • Pay Pal Bill Me Later: $2,034.30  Minimum payment: $53.00. This month’s payment will be $53.30.
  • Amazon Store Card: $686.43  Minimum payment: $35.00. This month’s payment will be $46.43.
  • DressBarn Store Card: $124.00  Minimum payment: $25.00. This is the card that I am eliminating, so this month’s payment will be $124.00

Total Credit Debt: $6,463.28   Total Payments: $281.28. This is compared to last month’s credit debt of $6717.76 and total payments of: $323.26, which means my debt went down $254.48.  Much better than last month’s progress that’s for sure!  Also, if you’re also peeking at that Dressbarn card, I’m saying Goooood riddance to it!

Student Loans:

ECSI: $274.33   Minimum payment: $42.36.  PAYING THIS OFF THIS MONTH!  With the fees, that will equal $276.28.

Direct Loan:  $18,862.74  Currently deferred until January.  I thankfully was able to defer the Direct Loan student loan until January.

I’m pretty sure the guys at ECSI are banging their heads against the wall because I will not let them get a great amount of interest out of me.  Yes, that’s a silly mental picture, but it makes me happy every time I make a decent payment on that student loan and am that much closer to getting rid of it forever.

Other anticipated bills this month:

None, thankfully.

Complete Total Debt: $27,334.56.  Total Payments: $1058.56. This is compared to last month’s $27,774.91 debt total and $661.21 in payments.  That means in total I have decreased my overall debt by $440.35!  And HOLY CRAP that’s a lot of money put down in payments this month! Aiyeee!

August 2013 Bill Breakdown

Last month was a little rough.  I ended up having to rely a little bit too much on my Paypal Bill Me Later account and that’s going to reflect on this month’s breakdown.  The reason for that story is going to be for another time, as I intend to laugh about it later, but let’s get down to business.  It’s time for a hard crack down on my finances or to figure something out for an income temporarily.

Car loan: $1,985.38 I’m going to keep the low payment in order to continue the ability of paying off part of my student loans… so this month’s payment will once again be the small amount of $261.00.

Credit Cards: So I’ve said goodbye to two credit cards since I started this, and I also recently found another grey charge and cancelled it from one of my credit cards.  I’m hoping I’ll see reflected in the statement next month, but I’m sure it was a little two late when I cancelled for it to be shaved off the bill this month.  Either way, I’m happy I saw it.

  • Solidarity Visa: $2370.00  Minimum payment: $30.00. This month’s payment will be $30.00.
  • Chase: $1291.21  Minimum payment: $27.00.  This month’s payment will be $27.21.
  • Pay Pal Bill Me Later: $2,134.82  Minimum payment: $50.00. This month’s payment will be $134.82. (Used this as a means of payment for budget I had this month).
  • Amazon Store Card: $716.38  Minimum payment: $35.00. This month’s payment will be $46.38.
  • DressBarn Store Card: $205.35  Minimum payment: $25.00. This is still the card that I am now working on eliminating, so this month’s payment will be $85.35.

Total Credit Debt: $6,717.76   Total Payments: $323.26. This is compared to last month’s credit debt of $6580.04 and total payments of: $220.04, which means my debt went down $126.72.  Much better than last month’s progress that’s for sure!  Also, if you’re also peeking at that Dressbarn card, I’m getting really close to finishing that one here in the next few months.  I’m figuring probably by September.  Unless of course, I find a job by then so that I can increase that payment amount.

Student Loans:

ECSI: $346.75   Minimum payment: $42.36.  However, I am going to be putting a payment of $75 on it.  With the fees, that will equal $76.95.

Direct Loan:  $18,862.74  Currently deferred until August.  I thankfully was able to defer the Direct Loan student loan until August.

Complete Total Debt: $27,774.91.  Total Payments: $661.21. This is compared to last month’s $28,098.26 debt total and $558.14 in payments.  That means in total I have decreased my overall debt by $323.25!  So happy about this amount! I can’t wait to see what it’s like next month with the large payment amount I put in this month.

Please let it rain!

Total Credit Debt: $6,580.04   Total Payments: $220.04.

This is compared to last month’s credit debt of $6706.76 and total payments of: $200.76, which means my debt went down $126.72.  Much better than last month’s progress that’s for sure!  Also, if you’re also peeking at that Dressbarn card, I’m getting really close to finishing that one here in the next few months.  I’m figuring probably by September.  Unless of course, I find a job by then so that I can increase that payment amount.

Direct Loan:  $18,862.74  Currently deferred until August.

I thankfully was able to defer the Direct Loan student loan until August.  The ECSI however, will end its grace period this month and the first payment will be due in July.  This is a big reason why I’ve been doing what I could to get rid of that student loan payment.  It’s almost gone!

Other anticipated bills this month:

None, thankfully.

Complete Total Debt: $28,098.26.  Total Payments: $558.14.

This is compared to last month’s $28,523.32 debt total and $513.71 in payments.  That means in total I have decreased my overall debt by $425.06!  So happy about this amount! I can’t wait to see what it’s like next month with the large payment amount I put in this month.

June 2013 Bill Breakdown

Sometimes, I definitely feel this way.  Especially when someone suggests that I should go use all this time I now have being unemployed and go out and have fun, but then gets huffy when I say no because I can’t fit it into my budget because even the gas is being rationed to sustain my no money lifestyle currently.

Anyway, May has come and gone, and it was not without its expenses.  In fact, I found myself spending more money on me than I have in AWHILE.  I blame this on having a bigger budget this month due to various events, but as I said last month, most of this was anticipated.  I also ended up making a couple of purchases via my Paypal account to help get me organized and better equipped for the oncoming future. I’m not too worried about those purchases, but they will be seen in this bill breakdown this month and next.  In fact, I had been trying to keep away from all that extra income that I had been making for a very long time and allowed it to accumulate (I basically only survived on the unemployment money I received each week).  I’m still continuing to do that, and I really appreciate the things I now get when I have the chance all the more.

May also saw me do the clutter busting challenge.  If you’re a new reader, it won’t be very hard to see any of those posts that I made.  A lot of items were trashed and recycled, but some of it was put onto ebay and I’m hoping to make a little bit of money from those items.  If I don’t however, I’m fine with that too.  They’ll just go into the donation pile.

This month is going to get tight however.  My unemployment ended last week and I’m now currently waiting for the extension to go through while I continue to look for a job.  I also have my car insurance payment due and that’s going to be a big chunk of change.  Hopefully I can last on the least amount of money as possible this month, or end up doing odd jobs and services for friends to make a little extra cash or something.

Car loan: $2,483.82 I’m going to keep the low payment in order to continue the ability of paying off part of my student loans… so this month’s payment will once again be the small amount of $261.00.

  • Solidarity Visa: $2430.00  Minimum payment: $30.00. This month’s payment will be $30.00.
  • Chase: $1309.40  Minimum payment: $27.00.  This month’s payment will be $27.40.
  • Pay Pal Bill Me Later: $1,882.23  Minimum payment: $48.00. This month’s payment will be $48.23.
  • Amazon Store Card: $772.63  Minimum payment: $35.00. This month’s payment will be $42.63.
  • DressBarn Store Card: $312.50  Minimum payment: $25.00.This is still the card that I am now working on eliminating, so this month’s payment will be $52.50.

Total Credit Debt: $6,706.76   Total Payments: $200.76.

This is compared to last month’s credit debt of $6744.15 and total payments of: $221.15, which means my debt went down $37.39.  Ouch! I knew it wasn’t going to be a huge impact as last month was a BIG spending month.  Even with my budget, I ended up over my $200 budget by $40.  It couldn’t be helped, but I wasn’t surprised that I underestimated the expenses of travel and being in a wedding party.  That’s okay, I’m still trying to make as much money as possible via selling old items of mine or even doing commissions.  We shall see how that goes in June as it picked up just a little the last week.

Student Loans:

ECSI: $470.00  Still in grace period.  However, I am going to be putting a payment of $50 on it.  With the fees, that will equal $51.95.

Car insurance for 6 months = 331.35.

Little brother’s graduation gift = $50.

Complete Total Debt: $28,523.32.  Total Payments: $513.71 + 331.35  (car insurance bill) = 845.06

This is compared to last month’s $28,888.07 debt total and $564.10 in payments.  That means in total I have decreased my overall debt by $364.75!  Not as much as I am accustomed to, but May was a big expenditure month, and this month is going to be any different due to the car insurance bill.  Man I hope I hear from some job opportunities soon…

Please let it rain!
